however if it was legal, there would be no criminal inflation. It would cost the same as tomatoes to produce, by the pound, which is rougly 40$ .
So wouldn't you rather be able to get a pack of joints as easily , cheaply, and heathily as a pack of cigarettes?

there's over 6000 varieties of marijuana, each one with its own unique high. There'd be flavours like in a candy store.

"Criminal inflation"? What the fuck is criminal inflation? The 50% extra money the government puts on food and drugs?

In BC you can get this dirt cheap because people grow it out here. You can pretty much go grower->dealer->customer, which is about as easy as it gets... even easier if you happen to know a grower. In the corporate world, you have your suppliers, your manufacturers, your distributors, your wholesalers, your retailers and THEN you have taxes to boot.

the only way to stop the crime, IMO is to legalize the growing of it.

i dont really care if it gets legalized or not. At the moment its not it's nto even a big deal. Everybody can get it. Cops barely even care if they catch u smoking weed anyways. Government will have control if it gets legalized and it might not be pretty.

If Marijuana was legalized, the government would tax it - just like everything else in this society. They would be out of their debt in no time, and it would be sold in stores beside packs of cigerettes for $9.00 a pack, probably even more. And it woulden't be as potent. Though yes, it may be illegal to use today, and if legalized - it still wont be accepted in common society.

Not like pigs do shit about it anyways.
Fuck em.

People say that it would taxed if it was legalized like that's a bad thing. If you think about it though it would actually be a good thing for us considering that pot is one of the largest parts of our economy and that we could be putting a lot more money towards things like post secondary education, building much needed infrastructure and the medical system. As it is organized crime is making an absolute killing in profits off of it being illegal much the same as the crime bosses did off of prohibition in the 20's. We in turn as it is now are forced to spend millions on trying to stop organized crime from doing this through enforcement, the courts and jails. Also it would in my opinion become an even larger industry if legalized. Think of how much smaller the alcohol industry would be if people were still brewing beer in their basement as the primary source? As far as the "it will be less potent if it's legalized..." what the fuck are you talking about? Even if it were legalized there would still be no way of stopping someone from growing a few plants at their house that could be just as potent as ever, same as home brew beer. Also why couldn't professional growers that didn't have to hide what they were doing grow better stuff than illegal growers?

Long in short? Canada should grow some balls and quit bowing down to the Americans idiotic drug laws.

I totally agree with you. ir would be awesome to see it done.. but like everything.. People think if you legalize it there will be no more crime with it. Give me a break.. First of all it wouldn't be as potent.. So like beer 5.0% alcohol. but then theres bootlegged moonshine.. People pay 9.00 a pack of smokes but then there is illegal smokes for 7.00 a pack.. You know where I'm comming from. It doesn't matter what it does it will still be illegal.. and people wouldn't want to pay the price in the store. it's like it's illegal to grow tobbacco.. So like the same laws would apply.. without the proper licences and such from the government.. people would still be breaking the law either way.. I guess what I'm trying to get at, is for all you people out there that think that the government would legalize it with like a 5% THC rate or something.. there would still be the "Bootleggers" Dealers to get the other from. That's my opinion..
