Shake Vs. Bud

What are people's problems with shake? Weed smokers have this petty little thing about smoking "only the finest buds", but shake is cheeper and you don't need to bud-bust it.

I can't stand joints - the only way I smoke weed is if I throw it in the bong. Now I smoke weed every day, so I'm blasting through a fair amount of weed. As such, I buy only shake, but people come over and are like "Shit man, why you smoke this shit?" - then they hit the bong and get all fucked up.

What is the problem here people?

Oil made from bud is better. I agree with Myra, shake is only for the baking.

Oh, and yer buddies that get thrashed from shake are lightweights. I need bud, good bud, and a fair share of it to get me good and fuckered.

oil made from bud is the same as oil made from shake because all you're doing is extracting the thc from the plant. it just takes a lot less bud than shake to make a large batch.

Shake & Bake baby. I'm all down with that. You can't tell the diff in a vaporizer either though. But then again you can get garbage bags of shake for free in this city... so I guess if I was broke or something, I could walk that road too.

It's just that weed in BC is so readily available with such high wuality that we have all become bitches about it. We're spoiled. All those poor Europeans and their blunts, and what the hell are the Americans smoking???

the europeans along with the majority of the rest of the world smoke spliffs, a joint with tobacco in it. the tobacco burns at a slightly hotter temperature and helps to activate the thc in the bud more effectively. our bc buds are so good, we dont need to do that :)

shake tastes the same as good chronic? i dont think so.. only an naive smoker would say that.. u can tell the taste right away if its good bud or not.. how it sits in ur lungs, and the type of smoke it is, some good bud can have harsher tastes cuz it wasen't flushed right,but the really good bud, is squishy when completely dry, nicely crystallized, and has a more thick in density smoke.. shake doesen't get u that high, probably the oxygen getting cut off from ur brain for having to smoke so much.. 3-8 huge tokes from a good joint, or 1-4 bong loads off good chronic(held in of for 5 seconds of course) should be enough to get u ripped... i hate smoking crap, gives u a headache, hurts ur throat more, the high is shitty as fuck, doesen't last long... thats why u use that stuff to bake cookies or make oil... real good stuff should be either an uplifting high, or a nice stone, depending on the strain

Gods, the weed in the US is, for the most part, TRASH! Tastes awful, and doesn't getcha high like our stuff. I had to be damn drunk to even feel anything.

Shake is only good for Bud brownies, cookies & oil. When i first started blazing i smoked shake and it really is shit compared to nice sticky bud, the THC content is way longer thus it doesnt get you as high and for many people it gives headaches but if your down for being cheap and buying shake thats your call, but in my opinion if your paying anything for shake your getting screwed.

Yeah, being the huge stoner that I am, last year I picked up in LA from "my goode friends reliable source". It was $80 US for an 8th, (a light 8th), smoked the whole thing in about two hours, and hardly got stoned at all.

80$ US for a light 8th...fuck when i was in seattle it was 10$ US a gram and i didnt mind that but out here good bud is cheap 80$ US out here is getting close to a little under to an ounce!

i get a pound of shake for 70 dollars then i uuse a sifter and take out the thc that way. Fuks u up good. YOu do it up like that and you will gte more high. think about it if u smoked a pound of shake u would get way mroe fucked than an ounce of chron. and if u sift it liek what id o it makes good stuff

Seattle is a long way away from LA my friend. In Seattle they are smoking what we throw away, or occasionally our stuff. In LA it's all crap, and I can attest to that. Oh, and someone said something about headaches!!! That stuff gave me the hugest headache. AARRRGH!!!

Hey, I've been a student. I've baked nothing but brownies and cookies for months without smoking a single joint (that I provided) cuz shake was free and I had no money to buy real weed.

up until the heightened border checks they always had our bud. 50% of the growers in bc grew specifically for export to the us, and since they cant get it down there, everyone is sitting on hundreds of pounds up here. thats why our bud is so cheap now. slowly but surely, the runners are finding ways of getting the green down there, and once they can get a steady, high flow, our prices will go back up.
