Any shrooms in Burnaby? Some pics of my what looks like P. Stuntziis..

Man i just started shroomin lately and im shroom crazy
and im eyeing every mushroom i see

I live in Burnaby and the weather just got cold and after i started shroomin (started bout 3 weeks ago). I noticed some shrooms on some bark mulsh and so i checked some pics over the net and noticed they looked like p. stuntzii's so i read bout them. I kept doubting them bein real Psilocybins cause I thot it'd be too cold for them in burn/van..well then i read they show up near new building devolpments on new lawns and thats were i found'em. But when i picked them it looked like the cold got to them cause they come out of the ground with outa tug looked like the wind coulda just blown'em over but i got a couple anyway and here are the pics...o and i didn't find bluing..well maybe just a little but not really and they seemed old. Here are some pics

Well what are your opinions? Are these Stuntzii's? And if so could it be that there was no bluing cause of the cold lately?

wtf r u talking about, whats the worst that could happen, hmmm lets see, blindness, cardiac arrest, liver failure or death, from the vaults of errowid........There is NO way to identify a mushroom based solely on a photo or even a written description. Identifying mushrooms is a complex process and it's easy to make mistakes. There are many varieties of both edible and psychoactive mushrooms which have poisonous look-alikes. Even an expert can be fooled by the outward appearance of these deadly look-alikes.

Unless you can either explore with a mycologist or knowledgeable and seasoned mushroom hunter, or take the time to learn the careful process of mushroom identification yourself through reading books and preferably joining a mycological society...we would strongly recommend not eating mushrooms you pick yourself.

Learning to identify mushrooms isn't difficult in and of itself, but it takes training. Because the down-side of eating a poisonous mushroom is so great...one needs to be extraordinarily careful. so be dont eat em buddy

Psilocybin mushrooms generally grow in cow fields that have manure everywhere. you're lookin in the wrong place.

Apparently, if you have a microscope, a good way to find out what species they are is to correlate the spore size with the mushroom appearance. Leave a cap on a slide, and look at the spores. You'll probably need to have some way to measure the spore sizes, so a stage micrometer or something would be great for calibration, but that's likely beyond your means.

Edit: That said, if they're not bruising blue, there's likely not a lot of psilocybin or psilocin in them, IIRC. So you may need a lot to get high, and if they're poisonous, they're more likely to keel joo ded.
