Legal max amount of tabs you can carry

If you were to get caught what is the legal cut off for how many tabs you can be holding on your person as to not have it considered "intent to sell"? Just curious, I was not able to find the law online anyware... does anyone know for sure/have a link?

I think the consequences are quite different between the two so it would be good to know.

Not sure, but to be on the safe side, it's better to pop BEFORE the partaay. Then there's no worries.

It would be easier to ask a 'hypothetical' question to a police officer than to ask a bunch of kids.

I am hedging that the law is a bit more lenient here in Canada, but in the US having 1 tab or 100 of them is the same in their eyes.

So how many tabs were you planning to carry to the next party?

I dont believe any amount is legal to posess. I would say if you were pinched with a cap on you, a cop would probably find it about as threatening as a joint and take it away..... anything more on the other hand youd probably have some essssplaining to do.

I just figured out how you know how many tabs is too many!

If you know you are going to get caught I guess you could just as easily swallow what you are carrying and VOILA!! No proof for the authorities. You'll be feeling damn good afterwards. :c-tard:

But if you die then you probably were carrying enough to send you to jail.

All police require is reasonable grounds that you might have intent to sell, for which they may charge you...I would think most don't though and just confiscate them and/or fine you.

Doesen't matter how many you have. Sure trafficking looks worse on a record, but you don't want any sort of possession on your record. Your fucked for life if your over 18.

Unless you obtain a pardon...but when found in possession that's a tad bit difficult.

Yup, thus it's probably a good idea not to carry anything illegal around period and just save yourself a hell of a lot of stress

Ya, I agree carrying anything is bad idea, I was just curious, I thought it was something that people should be aware of. I know lots of people that do carry more than one tab on them, usually if they are holding it for a friend, so its good for ppl to know what the legal limits are for posession/trafficking.

What I find shocking is that if you even get caught with one on you you would get a record for life... that seems a little bit extreme for someone in a professional line of work.

i don't think cops arrest at raves for posession. i'd imagine they just confiscate. arrests they save for posession with intent.

i think it's a valid concern. what if buddy's seriously providing for 10 friends a night?

i agree with what's been said though. divy it up before the party and nobody needs to worry. drug economics work a lot better outisde of parties anyways. at parties results are always unpredictable.

There's definitely no concrete distinction between possession & trafficking in the law. The cop has complete discretion on whether to let you go or arrest you for one or the other. Then it's the crown prosecutor's decision whether to charge you with either of them.

Example: I once went to a rave with a friend who had spent some time well concealing 50 pills (bagged individually, and in groups of 2 or 3) in her bra. But, not being all that bright, she forgot to take the 4 grams of crystal & 1/2 g of ketamine out of her pocket. The cops found the crystal & the k, confiscated them, and told me to take her home. Now, if there had been a female officer to do a strip search, things would have turned out much differently.

It's when you're caught with individual bags or hundreds of dollars as well as drugs that you should really be worried.
