JUNIOR ONLINE SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Blue Castle Games is on the hunt for two Junior Online Software Engineers – One for its newest project… an un-announced Action title to be released on the Xbox 360 platform; and the other for an unannounced Sports title on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms. Both of these games will have a front-end/online component which is where you come in!

The Junior Online Software Engineer will work closely with the existing Online team who are responsible for all online backend technology and the overall online user experience. The Junior Online Software Engineer will be an important part of a game team where they will work with and learn from other Programmers, Artists and Designers all of whom enjoy a creative opportunity to shape the project’s online technology and features.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, write, debug, and refine online features, infrastructure and tools
• Work with Artists, Designers, and other Programmers to ensure online features are well designed and implemented correctly
• Participate in project planning and scheduling


REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
• An interest in working on Action and Sports games
• School project and/or co-op experience with C++ programming and debugging
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to communicate with both technical and creative team members face-to-face and in writing.
