FS: [#88-91 CRX SI#] - Front Strut Tower Bar

Will only fit the SI model, bought used for $60 cdn but will not fit my 90 DX, will sell for $40 cdn FIRM / or trade for CRX DX Intake.


Small chip on the underside from the guy I bought it off, completely hidden after installed. Other then that it's in great shape. It has an annoidized red bar.

Si and DX had the same suspension those years
they changed it in 92

Try putting it on the rear. It appears to have only 2 holes for screws, and front strut bars usually have 3 holes seeing as the front struts are held in by 3 bolts/nuts. Rear struts are usually held in by 2. If you're absolutely sure its a front bar try forcing it. Alot of strut bar manufactures are off specs just a little.

well, the guy it was bought from had it on his SI.

it won't fit, trust me! the DX and SI engine have differences that doesn't allow the SI strut bar to fit.

the white arrow pointing is what is blocking the bar to fit. this is the dx engine. apparently the SI's are a bit different. :)

SO ANYONE INTERESTED, THIS BAR WILL ONLY FIT AN CRX SI! :)

Thats ur throttle body blocking it btw

why do you want someoen to trade you for an intake? it looks as if you already have an intake on there. Or do you mean cold air?

the si has a pgm-fi throttle body that is way smaller than the dx shitbox throttlebody - so yeah yours wont fit. i would take it off your hands but i already have all mine tied up. if you are looking for any other aftermarket stuff for your crx - talk to me...i could get you the Si throttle body for your car that would make a bit of difference performance wise if thats what you are looking for.

BTW dragon boi - the Si model does not have VTEC - unless you have done a swap to a later model motor. VTEC didnt come available inthe US till 93.

it wont fit on the rear of a crx either, because of the bend in the bar - it wont clear the back hatch panel...

all older hondas have only two bolts on the strut towers.

i think that must have been only in the states - i know that the VX hatch in the states had it in 92 - but we never got them here

i didnt think the Si coupe had the sohc vtec till 93 but you might be right - too tired to research right now

i dont think anyone would make that trade as any decent intake is worth way more than a strut bar. you might be better off just selling it on its own and getting an intake elsewhere. im selling mine in the future as i am upgrading - its the blue one in the pic...lemme know if your interested.
