Laptop

I'm looking for a used laptop to buy for a reasonable price. Posted an ad on CV and got a few offers. I don't know a thing about laptops, so I was wondering if any of you could help me out on some advice. I'm looking for a laptop just for general/school use.

I got sent the following offers:
-Tablet PC (pen laptop) 3lbs for $650
-a traditional laptop for $500 (that's all the info he gave me...I just messaged him back asking for more specifics)

Any words...?

you should get a brand and model name for the laptop.. otherwise its kinda sketchy because you have no idea what you're purchasing

buy a name brand so when stuff breaks ( and it will ) you can get it serviced cheaper than any local store
see if you can get one with any type of warrenty on it and I can help you get some legit free stuff :kam:

oh...You don't want a Tablet....well maybe you do.
But you have to write everything with a pen....

You might as well get a small palm pilot or pocket Pc and then write your school notes on that.

You want to be able to type. don't take the tablet Pc.
