WANTED: Technics 1200's

Just looking for decent Techncis 1200 tables, can't be in rough shape, good enough to scratch etc.

Thanks!

Give Masterplan a call. They have some new AMDJ tables that are higher torque than the techs and in my proffesional opinion a better made table for the price range. You can buy them brand new for the same price as used Tech's. You have to check them out you'll kick yourself if you don't.

I will simply say they have the highest torque on the market right now. The numarks are nice but I still have a hard time trusting Newmark turntables. Then again until this AMDJ one came out I had similar feelings towards AMDJ tables but the AMDJ rep finally convinced me to take a look at it and after beating on them and taking them apart I can honestly say they are a well rounded table with awesome torque. Many of my friends who have Techs have sold them used and bought these tables brand new. It's a great trade.

P.S. The actual torque of the AMDJ's is 4.5k but it's also the plater weight and balance that makes a big difference.

wigglesworth is on a distinguished road
all i hear on this board about tables is torque this and torque that.
fuck torque.
its important but technics has plenty. anything over that is overkill without a quality proven name.

aaron's right, i own ttx's and honestly you dont really NEED that much torque.. its just a luxury... i mean the difference between startup times is like a fraction of a fraction of a second, and you're gonna be cueing the record in anyways so the startup time doesnt even come into play

the only reason why you might want a high torque is for scratching, but that's about it
