my buddy works at wireless wave...and he showed me the latest siemens phone...apparently its not out yet, its got integrated camera, all that shit, and he said he'd sell it for 250 no contract, none of that shit, so ideal for pay as u go...although u could put it on a plan if u wanted to....

RIP Simon's 3390. Now I'm stuck with this pansy-ass cheapo plastic Sony Ericsson. Who wants colour screen and polyphonic ringtones? I miss durability, sensibly laid out menus, and 'ring ring' the only cel phone ringtone fit for existence.

fido came out with 2 phones today.. both siemens phones and they're "affordable".. why do i have to pay at least 2 bills for a cellphone? grr. now im just picky and i want one with a camera. damn gadgets.

anyone know loopholes? someone told me to open a new account..buy the phone with whatever deal they give me (it wuld be better than the reg price that i would have to pay right now)...and in 2 weeks cancel the phone?...

^ They'd make you give the phone back if you cancelled.

The only way you're going to get a phone from fido for 'cheap' is if you sign their new contract agreement that they've started pushing.

well if u look at the products on the fido site beside the price that ppl have to pay under fido agreement there's a price "without fido agreement upon opening account".. i wonder if they cancelled if they have to give the phone back.

I looked into it a little while ago - price without fido agreement means you have to start a new account, which means giving up your current phone number.

well isn't it worth it to open up a phone for my mom or a friend for a month...use the cheapest plan (prob 20 bucks).. is there activation fee? buy a phone for no contract.. and after a month of usage cancel the account but keep the phone...and slip my own sim card in it. works?
