hey you un-employed/employed job seekers.
i am a receptionist for a company called Vector Marketing.

What my job is: To find as many sales associates as i can while of course returning phone calls and answering to other online applicant.

What we do: we work for Vector but sell the product of Cutco (www.cutco.com) we sell knives lol. I believe this is a great job for anyone who does well in sales.

Pay Structure: No the company does not pay you only for sales. HOWEVER, you are paid 14./85 per hour (presentation of product) AND 10% commission. ** WE PAY YOU REGARDLESS IF YOU MAKE SALES OR NOT**

there was an article in the Ubyssey about Vector and the large volumes of complaints the company's gotten from (mosty) students that they have recruited. I'd check it out before signing up. :/

there is absolutly NO COLD CALLING or DOOR TO DOOR..
ppl who call the company will ask for a presentation.
then we send YOU the sales rep to the person to do it. then tada..


honestly i have worked retail for 5 years i would not allow someone to do something that i dont believe in nor sell a product i dont believe in.

as i read that site, it says there that only ONE person with 100 signatures has had a bad time. this company has been around since 1949

THE ONLY THINg on that site that was near wrong/correct is

Sorry, but your company has the worst reputation as an employer in BC. I'm not going to comment on stories I've heard, but I did have a friend who worked there.

I take this as "once you have worked for this company it will be possible to make rude comments". The reason they have receptionists doing recruiting work as well is because there is such a high turn-around for employees.
