it doesnt really matter what firmware it uses, sony has firmware updates if you find a wifi hotspot. or they will very soon

The Firmware matters if you want to run hacks on it. Versions 1.51 and up won't allow you to run homebrew progs on them.

My advice to anyone who has a PSP with version 1.50 or lower, DON'T UPDATE. Go surf the web for some info and do some insane shit with your PSP.

Mine's a 1.51 :(
