i dont think 2000 megs of ram is necessary.... 512 will do you fine. and get lots of hard drive space... at least 200gb so you can store lots of music n porn

don't bother with a shuttle, get a full tower. Upgrading is useless on Shuttle's.

unless u lan a lot or goto computer events or something a lot and need to bring ur computer with u.. then don't get a shuttle cuz ud ont need it if its just gonna sit at home on ur desk... just buy a smaller tower

I would say 1GB is about right now a days. The cost to go up to 1gb is not very much compared to 512MB.
I wouldn't bother with the Raptor hard drives there are newer and better onesout on the market that are much quiter ( and bigger ) and have about the same performance for cheaper price.

Also Dell is not a bad option either.....there are some good deals on there and their computers are not as bad as what most people say they are.

Best advice here

Go to someone you know and trust, and who knows a thing or two about computers

and just let them do all the work.

Give them a price range, a rough guide of what you want to be able to do and they should whip up something good for ya.

u really need 2 know wat u want the comp for... and go from there
build one @ atic or ncix and get a comp buddy 2 tell u wat pieces 2 get
