!! Casting Call !!

When: Thursday, June 29, 2006 between 12:30-4:00 PM
Where: The Anza Club. 3 West 8th & Ontario, Vancouver, BC
What: History Lesson. Independent, Short Film to be submitted to the festival circuit (comedy/satire with a weird and experimental touch)
Who: talented & passionate actors and models, whether aspiring or professional, who want to get involved with an interesting, original project
No primadonnas, or snobs please!
Brief descriptions of the parts:

Joan – an old lady, who has been around for 700 years due to plastic surgery
- wears a mask for the entire duration of the piece; her body must look rather
youthful since she gets ‘maintained’ every few years 
- this part is only open to women; ideal age probably between 18-40; light skin
- general body shape & voice must look and … sound like Joan Rivers

B – an unbelievably androgynous (looking) individual
- age18-30; all ethnicities
- males, females and anyone in between welcome

***Joan and B are both lead parts and among other things, the ideal candidates are intelligent, imaginative, rather skilled in physical acting and expressing emotions without words. New actors are encouraged to try out!

“IV guy” – a 40- 60 year old, balding male, who carries around an IV unit and gives gum to everyone for no particular reason
- a very funny and weird character for a performer with the same attributes!
- main supporting character; instrumental in the ending

Actors (males & females) of all colours, shapes and sizes, needed for various, 30 second commercials within the film (for things like make-up, hair products, plastic surgery, male enhancers and more)

Models/wannabe models (males & females) needed for photo shoots for a fashion magazine and commercials (real within the film of course)
– need to send full body shots (frontal & profile); no nudes required!
