WTB: Technics 1200s

I sold my Numark decks so I'm looking for a pair of Technics 1200s in relatively good condition. I don't have a lot to spend, but if you have anything please post up. I might also be interested in Vestax PDX-2000s as long as they are MK2s, I've seen a lot of MK1s but I don't want to deal with the platter issues. I don't need carts, or slipmats, or dust covers, or headshells. But if anything like that is included it's a definite plus. I'm located in Victoria but I'm willing to ship (preferably via Greyhound.) talk to KNG, i believe he lives in victoria, i scored a pair of techs, good condition, for 550, with vinyl, various slipmats, carts and headshells. PM me and ill get you KNG's contact, im pretty sure he has them up for 700.

really? what kind of numarks did u have?

cuz if they were anything but TTX's, i wouldn't even suggest anything else. i've had my pair for almost 5 years, and they STILL work better than techs :)

and they're cheaper too!

TTX's are fucken sweet. awsome for scratch.

My Numark's were pretty old, but I've never liked the feel of TTX's.
When I spin on Technics they just feel "right" and Vestax PDXs come in at a close second.

Yeah, shipping is a pain, but I'll keep those in mind. I may have found a local pair of PDXs at a good price, so I'll see how that goes.

$600 - $750 seems to be the going rate for Technics 1200 MK2s in relatively good condition.
And Vestax PDXs around the same (maybe a bit less.)
So hopefully no more than $700.

To tell you the truth, I'd rather have them shipped than have to make the trip over.

FOUND A PAIR.
Whew, got a great deal from a guy leaving the country.
$665 for the pair, shipped COD, with a shoddy Numark DM2002x mixer to boot.



Shipping out tomorrow, I can't wait to get them.

I have them shipped COD, so I'll give them a good look over, and take some pictures before I hand the money over.
The guy also sent me a copy of his drivers license, a picture of himself, and we've been corresponding by phone, too.
So, I've taken as much precautions as possible.
Much safer than buying off, eBay, at the least.
Let's just hope Greyhound handles them safely (the'yre being shipped in their original boxes, so it'll hopefully be allright.)
