Vancouver sports

Vancouver sports right now are looking quite nice we have the USL mens and womens titles, the 06 WHL Champs who are now 7 - 0 into theire 07 season, our Canucks are now 2 - 0 and showing some gritt and energy that I haven't really seen from the team in awhile, and the BC Lions are looking as strong as ever and hopefully grabbing first in the west this monday. Now I know this is early into the hockey season and the starts wont mean shit unless some jewlery comes home in the spring but I am excited for what is going on and I think the city itselfe is starting to feel it with every win. So in final come on Vancouver get out there show your support for our teams and let them know that we are behind them 100%

honestly i dont care about anything else but the cup, it would be nice if the other 2 won... but hey if their loss meant that we could have the cup, i would take it in an instant.

I feel bad for not having watched any of the Whitecaps' games.. especially considering soccer is one of my top 3 sports.

I don't know if they were even on TV though! Caps have to try and up the exposure.

Went to two Lions games so far this year... a couple of weeks ago we battled with the Alouettes before they finally rolled over late in the game, mostly due to the way we sacked the shit out of their QB. Yesterday, the Stampeders rolled over in about 10 minutes. Game was a laugher.

Can the Canucks really carry this start?.. I have lots of doubts. Our worst problem is our razor thin depth chart. What happens if (by which I mean, when) some of our best players start going down with injuries?? The team is held together by a shoestring as it is.

Still, can't argue with the work ethic.. or the goaltending.. so far.

yeah dude, our depth is hurting this year.

after our top line, who do we really have? a bunch of journeymen really. sure they got lots of hustle, but that only gets you so far.

as long as luongo shuts the door and the top line performs, we should be alright. if luongo or somebody from the top line gets injured.. look out.

I'm still more optimistic this year though. basically if you have a mediocre goalie you'll NEVER win a cup.. i don't think van has ever had a goalie with at least "potential" to win a cup. not that he has much playoff exp. but still.

Same especially because we have already won the grey cup before.

Plus Vancouver is becoming more and more of a hockey town that is hungry again for the playoff success of 94.

nah i think if his knee's held up he may have been able to do it again.

he kept the canucks in the playoffs not just that one year either.

back to back he took van to the third round of the playoff's.
