people go on vacations solo all the time.. backpacking here, staying there..

is going on a cruise any different? there are people to meet ... ships have many night clubs usually..

think about a week.. some of the carribean ones are only 2 weeks tho as they take some time to get there..

i was in cancun last year.. i kinda want to try some where else this year.. japan?

how are you two going to deal with sleeping arrangements? if you go with the one room right off the bat things could be awkward that first night, but if you get two rooms then after a couple of days you'll find that you've wasted money and should've just gone with the one room to begin with.

June-July are the rainy months in Japan. August is probably the bext month to go but it is SCORCHING HOT and insanely humid! I'd definitely be a great experience, but start saving now, accomodations and transportation aren't cheap! from tokyo to osaka you are looking at an easy $100 or more by shinkansen or 90 by bus(which woiuld take something like 12 hours).
