Portland anyone?

everything i've heard and know about portland is negative.
but suddenly i find my job taking me there.
so i would like to hear something that'll make my time there more bearable.

any tips?
good clubs?
food?
places to avoid?

anything?

but i'm doing my boss a favor and helping him out there.
i've only been there once while we were shipping to phoenix last year, and then it was just a drive through.
how big is the city?
has anyone been to the races there?

Yeah I loved Portland too when i was there, but that was a long time ago, people were really friendly there. dunno how parties are like there though

things change so quickly here.
i might not be staying in portland for long, only for a few days, or a week or whatever.
depends on the work situation.
and my horse MIGHT leave on friday, everything is subject to change based on the change of everything else and when there's 5 diffrent trainer/owner/horse combinations, i makes for a very uncertain deal.
now horses have been sold, and some have been sent south and WTF IS GOING ON?
all i know is my horse leaves for portland some time this week, depending on when the shipper leaves, and i know that my boss is driving me down there possibly this weekend depending on how many horses he gets in.

god i can't handle much more suspense.

i need a drink.

when you ride race horses for a living, you get wet if it rains.
and from what i know, it rains a lot in portland.

only thing i do in portland is bust caps and shop. throw in some liquor and that describes my portland trips.

so besides that i don't have much to suggest. but the city itself is pretty nice and clean imo.
