Even though they cant be officially reported they will take notice and when you follow up at 24 hours. Waiting 26-28 for your pregnant wife seems to strange.

My parents tried to report me missing once when I was a minor... they really won't listen/don't care until you hit that 24 hour period.

Either way, from what I've seen, the man really did seem to care for his wife... those pelas were pretty dramatic... so if he is innocent, I hope that we don't throw another innocent man in jail just so the public and family can have peace.
