plasma's aren't that bad.
i wouldn't recommend them if you are looking to play games. def a good purchase if your wanting to the most bang for your buck. lcd's any bigger than 32" start to lose their clarity and get super expensive, dlp's are way too fucking big. but i would also advise against the lg. they should stick to fridge's i'd recommend pioneer. *drool*

ive been selling hd tvs for about 4 years now. Plasmas will give you garunteed life and performance for about 10-13 years if used properly. any panel worth its salt as burn in protection so as long as you dont leave your games on pause for a day. your fine. plus the majority of panels have a white wipe corrects image retention.for the 42-50 flat panel market..plasma is the best chioce to make, LG?...well..they are OK. i bet you baught this at futureshop or bestbuy. cause futuershop has an exclusive buy on LG and the sales staff gets HUGE spiffs on LG product so the good majority of FS salestaff put people into lg product only for that reason it all comes down to screen size and application. 40 and below....lcd is the only choice. 40 and above....plasma is the only choice Brands? this year for plasma its samsung. samsung is KILLING everything eles in the market right now thanks to their Dnie processer. last year it would of been panasonic but right now samsung is the market leader. they are one of the only manufactures who make there own LCD panels and plasma panels. In fact you can not buy a sony plasma because of the strenght of samsung, and samsung manufactures the LCD panels for the sony bravia line. you should all bow before samsungs might!!!! no matter what you read in some 'pay off' consumer report or home theater rag or website. in terms or microdisplay projection again, it all comes down to application. if your only into home theater and not so much a gamer or sports watcher LCD projo is the best chioce. IF you love sports and gameing DLP is your choice. but to be honest..for the fall buying season of 2006. suprising toshiba is doing a great job with there lcd's int the 37 inch modle they have response time down to only 8 ms. PLASMAz are Old Newz and Garbage already, but they fly outta the window quite well! Will be totally useless in less then a year or so though. LCDs Being a better alternative already, and LASER and SED TVs will pwn Plasmaz like god a cookie in 2007. - I Specialize in New Technologies.
