hey, it was awfully fuckin' windy on the mainland yesterday... I was outside wrastlin' with a tarp and a big fuck-off tree blew down just beyond the playground at the elementary school across the road. At 12:48pm. Literally 18 minutes after the kids lunch break. Eek.

I was without power from 11am this morning till 4am now.

My power went out for literally ONE minute. We were scrambling in the dark to find candles and flashlights and before we found them it was back on:D

the power in my area was off from 2-8
and something screwed up with my house alarm.. and it decided to go off
(i guess it runs on a battery of sorts or something..)
and it wouldnt shut up or turn off cause the rest of the system was down
needless to say, i left the house pretty quick..

One thing I can appreciate about no power is the real peace and quiet that can come with it (hehe except in poor Christine's case!) and it's a rad excuse to bring out the board games!

that being said, my power didn't go out, so maybe that's why I'm totally romanticizing it.

The worst is the driving.
Traffic comes to a crawl as every light turns to a four way stop.
Not to mention that most idiots don't know how a four way stop works.

i'm by no means a vibrator expert but that'd be kind of weird having one that plugs into the wall.

i bet they're out there though. and all the girls who have one wish they could afford one of those fancy battery powered ones.
