purebred kitties

So after much thought, Lola and I want to have a kitten together. We're looking for a purebred ragdoll. Does anyone know where to find breeders for cats??

^ they are expensive little things...I e-mail the woman selling the sealpoint ragdolls, one of them looks a little retarded though..i don't want that one. $375 is the cheapest I've seen so far.

I got a really nice Russian Blue kitten from SPCA. It was given to them by someone running a breeder business but they gave up. Very nice cat although it would not win awards because it did not have exact appearance for the breed, but that was OK.

Also I had a Sealpoint Siamese, very smart cat and excellent pet (but noisy), again I got it for almost free from a lady who was breeding them and this one was not perfect in the breed characteristics.

I would say to just go to a cat rescue place, SPCA, or lastly a breeder and get the coolest nicest cat you can find and don't worry about those minor breed details, they will cost you a lot and it won't make a better pet.

Some of the dogs and cats produced by breeders have genetic problems that can effect their health. Many breeders are really in it only for the money and don't know what they're doing.

the folks at Aquariums West breed Himalayans, i got my seal point there a couple years ago. I paid $500 and that included all his shots. He's a very healthy & well tempered cat. i know a few other people who've bought himalayans there who've all been very happy. not sure if a himalayan is what you're after, but as far as i can tell they aren't that much different from a rag doll...

No offence..but how about adopting a kitten from the spca and then maybe adding a bit of a donation. I think spending that much money on an animal when theres so many with no chance is silly. Alot of purebreds are inbred..which can mean health issues down the road.

Anyways..good luck with whatever you choose..I love kittens =D

no offence, but every cat i've adopted from the spca has cost me $400 to $500 in vet bills immediately afterwards due to the fact that they aren't all that well kept care of there. so i'll spend my $400 to $500 on a cat that will come with a fucking guarantee that if there's genetic problems, i get a new kitten for free.

ps: i'm looking for a himalayan crossed with an angora. cross-breed: little deeper gene pool.

Thats crazy..Friends and Family as well as myself have been adopting animals from the spca for years..and i've never experienced that.

A purebred cat will cost you 10x as much over its life then a mutt. =D

Im the same way. My cat got hit by a car a few years ago and I swear he had brain damage(his jaw was broken and he had to have it wired to fix it) and he is the most retarded but happy cat you will every meet. He is so odd and it is great. He became very talkative after his accident as well.

Ohh, nevermind.. see what I was asking was basically what that armrest (?) was. everything surrounding that looked darker so I thought it was one of those windows screens with the small openings in them. I'm just making this more confusing..

and one more thing.. 3d picture thing?

Did you just compare your potential pet to a name brand handbag?
