Underworld alone would convince me to go if it weren't for the fact that Darren Emmerson (and therefore all of Underworld's dance-world sensibilities) is no longer with the band. But I'm sure even without Emmerson they'd still play a lot of their old tunes (Really, isn't the whole concert all about Cowgirl?)

Depeche Mode would be hella cool to see as I missed them last year when they came out.

Emmerson's name is one that keeps coming up in Vancouver, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw him here one day soon.

Depeche Mode would be hella cool to see as I missed them last year when they came out.

They were absolutely unreal live, you really missed out that night.

He's not really what I'm interested in though.

I dunno. The latest singles that have been coming from Underworld are, IMO, rather lacking. I wonder if it's just reverted back to the first two guys. Christ, you ever listen to their stuff pre-Dubnobasswithmyheadman? It's... uh... interesting... almost synth/prog rock. Not exactly bad stuff but definately nowhere near Dirty Epic or Cowgirl.

Emmerson wasn't so much a musician as he was a producer. But the fact that he edged their production in the more underground-techno vein reshaped the band forever.

I think this is the number 1 reason I'm skeptical of this list.

I remember last year there was a pre-release lineup (not the joke one) that was a ton of the acts of the year previous and a bunch of wishful-thinking ones.

I ain't buying no ticket until I see an official lineup.

My money's on portishead Smashign Pumpkins and underworld making an appearance this year.
Depeche Mode and Massive Attack played last Coachella so don't bet on them. Although I guarantee goldenvoice will fucking blow us away again next coachella.
I highly recommend making the trip down you wont be disappointed. Daft Punk + Massive Attack last year =:)

I just bought my ticket and camping pass.

I'm not sure if we'll be camping, though..we're trying to see about renting a house. If you're planning on going, you should buy the camping pass early regardless of whether or not you think you'll end up camping on site because last year they sold out before the three day passes did.

This is the lineup.



The single day tickets for Saturday and Sunday are already sold out. There's talk on the message board that Underworld is going to be added to Friday's line up, which will obviously help speed along that day's ticket sales.

If you're even remotely interested in going to this, get your ticket now. You can always sell it later.
