haha I'm so sure telling this person what kind of awesome grandfathered no longer available for new activation price plan you have with your provider is going to be so totally helpful for them to make a well informed decision.
ps- the price plan *I* get kicks all of your price plan's asses, even cidy fido :P

^ I think it's because they know they can get away with it. It's not so much the plans that suck, it's the overage (?) charges. :(
My plan is pretty good, I pay $56 a month- but that includes my phone plan as well as my text message package (I had to upgrade that, heh), ring tone downloads, voicemail and I opted for early evenings which start at 6pm instead of 8pm. That's what I don't get, evening starts at 6pm yet all the cell phone providers have decided that it starts at 8pm or 7pm now- wtf?

All plans and policies are pretty shit right now because all carriers want you to spend at least 50 dollars a month on your cellphone, sure you can get a cheap rate but take into account basic features, paying to extend your unlimited start time, etc.
With wireless number portability being introduced in March of next year, I'm totally certain that the market is going to change bigtime and there's going to be a lot of better plans out there.

plans are so shitty cause more and more people are getting cell phones and because there isnt much choice out there people are stuck with this crap
its kinda silly how in the states they've got nation-wide plans where you can call anywhere in the US within your plan, we should have something like that up here too

best plan is to:
1: go see all of them, threatning to leave and go to other provider 2: dont be scared to leave...its monopolistic, not a monopoly.(more then one big name providers) 3: sooner or later they will give in...something like 1 year free, better plan then most, and dont forget to mention about your friends plans, because in that industry, they dont want you to talk to other people about how much "better" their plan is.

I hope someone sees this before tomorrow.
I'm wanting to get a new phone tomorrow at fido but I dont have a cred card [ so no credit history or anything. ] I have an alright paying job - 600 evey 2 weeks so will they accept me? I'll also have 270 cash on me when I go in.

Seriously fucking hate Rogers. They coerced me away from Fido in June. I had never had a Fido bill over $60 (and I had been with them for 5 years), and since I switched I have paid over $1200 with pretty much the same usage. Billing by the minute fucking sucks. I can't wait to switch back to Fido and tell Rogers where they can put their fucking "Corporate Plan". Assholes.
