Anyone ever worked at telus?

I was wondering what are the daily duties of the people that install and repair lines. I mean, what else do they do?

What else do they do? Plenty!

1. They over charge you.
2. They anal rape you if you try to break a contract.
3. They threaten to cut you off when you've downloaded roughly 15 times your monthly limit (mostly movies about midget cowboys)

Well I guess #4 isn't really a duty, it's more of an observation.

Ok, well I'll take it that's a common response so I'll rephrase the question by replacing Telus with "Telephone Company"/"Cable Company".

(don't quote me on these but this is what I think I know...) :)

I&R can work anytime between 7am - 8pm, there is weekend work.
You work by yourself - one man, one truck.
You will have to climb poles
You do deal with the public.
You work outside & inside, rain, shine, sleet or snow.
You would start out to be trained in basic phone installations (basic inside wiring, cable pair maintentance, line testing etc), ADSL installation and networking and possible TELUS TV installation & demonstrations.

They will currently train and apprentice you I beleive ($$!)

Most installers I've ever spoken to really like it - I just want to ensure you know the facts.
