the best portable cd player out there?

Forget ipods, and all the rest, Im a dinosaur who still craves a personal cd player. If there are any other dinosaurs out there, Im wondering what your opinion is on the best portable cd player out there in terms of:

(priority = 1 being the highest)

1.sound quality
2.durability
2.headphone amp

I could care less about looks, I dont care if its the size of a 67' T-Bird, and bells and whistles dont do anything for me. I just want a player that can offer me great sound, and be able to take a bullet. It could be as ugly a pink and yellow marble painted smart car, or a pair of tennis ball reebok pumps - as long as it offers what I need!!!!!

Im itchn to grab one asap, as my current one just died as a result of severe punishment, and Im going for the 80 $ - 160 & price range.

what do think?

*happy holidays and heres to another year of resistance, struggle, growth and forgiveness.

much love

Shak

I never really researched portable cd players much. But I know my Panasonic one has lasted me a long time. Ive dropped it a number of times and it still works.
Has great sound, and the battery life is pretty damn decent.

Panasonic one... I think it was called Anti-shock. I still have it and it's still going, that thing has awesome anti skip and you could drop it and it wouldn't break...
