I only lived with my parents post-school for a year. They didn't charge me rent and didn't keep much for cerfew restrictions. They never really started to ask me when I was planning on moving out but I think they would have if I were there much longer. At any rate, take a second and think about whether or not you just wanna show off your independence or are really ready to move out. At age 16, you'll excuse me if I generally think that you fall under the former.

When I lived with my Parents I paid $150/mo plus I paid for ADSL to my Room.

Since I was 16, I was paying room and board ($200/month). The Italian ones are always the nutty ones.
Got my own place when I was 18... things happened, I moved from there to a basement apartment for a year... owner of the house was moving, I had just lost my job, so I moved back in... It was only when I told them I was moving out here that they said I didn't have to pay anymore so I could save up money. Where did my room and board money go? No clue... but they have a new deck, out door speakers and a hot tub... I think I got ripped off
