Anyone deal with VOIP or digital long distance calling?

I was taking a look at Shaw Digital phone and there must be a competitor that offers a similar service and call quality for less money.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Vonage is the one I keep seeing around town, but I know for a fact they outsource their tech support to Manila.

sdp isnt too bad.. vonage is shitty. you need atleast extreme speed if you go for it.

Based in Burnaby, don't know if they're fully operational yet, but I know some of the people who run it. I think it's like $20-something a month for unlimited north american calling.

I'm using Rogers Home Phone and it works pretty good.

I use Digital Voice (http://www.digitalvoice.ca) as my VOIP provider. If you buy the VOIP adaptor, the price for a line is only $13/month. For $19/month, you can get unlimited North American Calling, or, if you're calling overseas as well, you can get 500 long distance minutes for the US, UK, Canada, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, and Italy for $7/month.

have been using skype for awhile now. I am very impressed with it.
