I think it really differs from person to person and the quality of morals they have. Most people know when they are saying/doing something inappropriate that probably shouldn't be joked about aloud or in front of certain people. I'm not saying I get offended by every obscene/cruel joke etc, or that I have never told one... but being someone who has been on the other end of it a time or two, I sure as hell make sure I know it is appropriate to act in such a way first. I am sure a lot of people have enough common decency to do this as well and some are just ignorant to not give a shit either way.

I dont think its really fair that you can associate someones sense of humor with the morals they have (not entirely anyways)
...Sometimes you cant help to laugh as something. As innappropriate as it may seem...if your mind naturally reacts to something and finds it humourous , that doesnt mean that it should reflect on your morals.

The cat on acid thread is a prime example.
I do not in anyway condone animal cruelty...and Im sure that several of the other people that posted in that thread , don't either. But again , we werent laughing at the fact that they took some poor cat and gave it acid , its the way the cat was reacting that sparked the humor....so people found it amusing..That doesnt compensate for morals!!

It would be one thing if someone found humor in someone getting shot execution style...its another thing to laugh at some documentary that was made probably before we were all born , about some cat who started tripping out on acid lol.

We really need to lighten up sometimes...

I don't argue the fact that is is subjective, I was simply stating that most people know when certain subjective humor that they and certain people may find funny, could be the very opposite to someone else... and some people practice enough morals and decency to save those types of behavior for times when they know it is safe to do so without causing a shit storm.
