Nice Cops?

I didn't think nice cops existed!??!? The island is CRAZY I tell you! Haha I love it.

So my bud comes to pick me up last night because we're both bored and he wanted to show me all the new things he's done to his skyline. He comes over and I sorta notice he'd been drinkin a bit, not drunk but you know.. not 100% with it. I'm like DUDE you've been drinking, let me drive I'm sober. "no no Im fine he says" sorta argued but whatever. Anyway.

Next thing I know he's goin waaaaay too fast down a straight back road *k sure it's 4am on a thursday.. no one around* but still. We're talkin like spinnin the tires goin 100, driftin back n forth

Then I start freakin out and yell at him to slow down, next thing I know we're doin a 360 and miss the left ditch = death, go into right ditch= almost roll but we're ok.

Cops came, and were soooo nice. *omg is that a skyline?? SICK!" Offerin to drive us home *let me get my CD out* What's that? My CD man I make hiphop/dnb, OH REALLY let's hear it! haha plays it in his car!!! "you're talented kid keep following your dreams!" and just goin all heart to heart with me it was hilarious.

In Vancouver it woulda been a whooooooooooole different story.

Lesson of the day, fuck drinking n' driving.

You should have never let your friend drive. Ugh. I have a friend that ALWAYS drinks and drives.. shes lost her liscense twice..but she doesnt learn. I hate to say it but i'ves been in that car with her driving loaded many times.

Well to be honest I woulda put up more of a fight, but I had swigged a couple sips of wine half hour ago.. not even buzzed, but had the smell on my breath. So I just didn't want to risk it. Frankly, I figured if I was with him I could yell at him before doin anything stupid because USUALLY he's a smart driver. Turns out he was just more out of it then I thought.

Sort of karma in a way though, a while back I was showing off my car like that too much *although not drunk!* and put it in a ditch. So now I know how my buddy musta felt when he yelled at me.

I'll admit I don't always do the smartest thing in the game of life. I get myself into some pretty sketchy shit, but whenever I'm sittin in a cop car I just try to speak a little heart to heart and they break down their "Im mr powerful cop I hate teenagers" barrier. Usually just get warnings and treated very fairly. Surrey cops were actually nice to me. Abbotsford cops, that's just a whole other story though. When you get black listed they'll tell you to shutup pretty abrubtly.
