Is Chillicrack the next Surrey???
A good friend of mine lives in Chilliwack. I was out there tonight for a fight night MMA type deal and noticed a few things. Around his house it seems like the seediest place ever. For those of you who know Chilliwack my friend owns a 4-plex on Charles Ave.
I WOULDN'T WALK THE STREET IN HIS NEIGHBOURHOOD! According to my friend there's more shooting, more car thefts, more violence than anywhere he's ever lived. I would seriously feel safer walking down East Hastings. On top of that when we're at this fight night thing there's shit loads of pretty boy fucking UN members beefing the joint up with HA. From the info I could gather it seems like the UN boys like to go balls out and make their shit public as opposed to HA who likes to keep their shit under wraps. Either way... not exactly a comforting environment. So seriously.... has Chilliwack really gotten that bad? I know there's nothing to do out there but WOW!

every city has its bad spots but I'd agree seems like suburb area's seem to be getting a little worst then what you'd expect..... Charles street in chilliwack is notorious to be a crackhead/theft type area..... Kinda like how I've seen the change recently in my area in abbotsford... I live close to A&B sound and taking walks to go to the 7-11 just to pickup milk is rather interesting... Crack and meth heads as well as hookers wondering about. One of the sad things is that there is a chick I used to work who is a drug addict/hooker around this area.... Its rather sad seeing her decay the way she is.
The same thing go's with mission. There's recently been a number of drive by shootings and all

The only place that has hookers (that I can think of) who don't destroy their community image are the escorts in Yaletown.
But every community has their problems. It shouldn't always be just the hookers fault... what about the crack dealers? what about the meth labs? Meth labs moved out to areas with barely any crime so their operations would go un-noticed. But those areas are now becomming worse and worse...

he probably did when your friend started chasing him. that's only if she caught him in mid pee though. if he was just finishing up then he probably didn't get any on himself. i say "probably" because i don't know what kind of a pisser he is. he might be one of those guys who just can't help hitting his leg in mid piss.

I worked near charles street and we got robbed atleast once a month.. its pretty crazy... But its not as bad as main and hastings... I would walk most places in chilliwack and feel safe, just the downtown core is where all the druggies and prostitutes come out at night. They are knockin down a few buildings and making condos to try and make the place look better.
