Poker Stories (real money only.. not stupid pokerstars.net play money)
Disclaimer: If you don't play poker, i suggest you skip this thread.. you'll have no idea what i'm talking about
I usually play at boulevard casino... 1/2 no limit... like a couple times a week.. Story 1 I had 7 - 8 suited.... preflop bet was 7 bucks... some guy limps in with Q - 6 off suit... flop comes 4 5 6... (suits didn't help me at all).... but either way... i had the nuts.... this guy has a pair of 6's.... anyways... i have learned my lesson slow playing so i bet 25 bucks.... he calls.... with a pair of 6's.... when there is a straight possibility on the board.... whatever.. better for me right?... the turn comes a Q.... he bets 75 bucks, i re-reraise to 150..... now... why else would i possible do that, unless i had the straight.... It's not like i was playing it like a bluff... I was betting hard throughout... anyways... what does he do? he goes all in.... with 2 pair... when there is a straight possibility on the board after i just reraised his 75 to 150.. i have the nuts... obviously i'm going to call... river comes.... Q... this guy somehow managed to make a fucking full house... I couldn't believe it... When you get a bad beat like that.. i suggest you go for a smoke and cool off before you buy back in.. or else you'll be on tilt like mad and end up losing another few hundred really fast.. Storie 2 to come later... this story took a lot longer then i thought it would Post your stories... they don't have to be bad beats.. just any interesting stories...

hmm pretty much the exact same thing happened to me, except i hit a gut shot and on the turn hit my straight and went all in, with four other players calling only one had two pair and until the river i was winning. that is such a shitty way to lose, its ridiculous
