also...an option when creating a thread to "alert" a list of members about it, by sending them a pm or whatever? Sometimes I want to make sure certain people see their Hey You's or event-type threads...

I don't think there is enough activity in the music forum to warrant that many sub categories (2cents)

Myles, use FNKers. Myra is right in saying that there's no need for an apostrophe. Apostrophes are used when it's a contraction (can not becomes can't) or when in the possesive sense (Dave's post).

"FNK" is an acronym not a contraction, so it doesn't need an apostrophe. I think the way it goes from caps to lower case nice seperates the acronym from the suffix. And then if you ever need to use the possesive it works fine (That FNKer's karma rating, those FNKers' bad attitudes)
