Gibsons..is AWESOME.
I forget which cafe it is, but there is this open mic..and such...people are super friendly, plus..."downtown"...near a parking lot...there is tons of graff art..Tour did a whole thing up there.. Half Moon Bay is gorgeous...there is a stretch by the water on your way there that's insane... JAKES RASH! (near Half Moon Bay).........amazing. (if you longboard...and would love to risk...something.....like an arm...)...it's wicked. ( ihaven't personally ridden it...but they have races there all the time...) ..... ...........ummm......id say just talk to the people with instruments, .....they usually know where to go.

My aunt owns a B&B right on Half Moon Bay. I remember spending time there when I was a kid.... poking jellyfish and canoeing in the bay. :)
I also remember burning my foot on a aluminum can lid that had somehow fallen out of the fire! haha! I think that was during one of our massive family reunions there. Great memories for sure... and a beautiful place to visit! As for party places in Sechelt? People don't really go there to party man... best prepare for some nights at the local pub!

Ill be pretty honest.. by yourself not much to do.. and they dont like people of colour there unless your native...
This is not just me being stupid.. i honestly find the people there so much more racist because of the number of white people.. My best buds grandma lives there.. i go over occasionally and help do yard work and stuff.. basically.. some beers.. go boating maybe.. crabbing or fishing.. go hiking if you can.. paintball or mountain biking is alwyas fun.. tho that not might not be your thing... but yeah.. its a pretty chill town... and ive never come across a whole lot of terribly entertaining partyying for someone on there own... but yeah. def go hiking in the morning if you can.. its really nice to hike around up there ...

There is nothing to do there.
Nothing. Zero. I lived there for 2 years and took the ferry back each weekend as there is nothing to do there. Nothing. Unless you consider hanging out by the McDonald's a fun time. But it is a nice place to get away from the stress of the city.

well i live here, and i'd say you're pretty screwed.
house parties are the only fun one can have up here I kinda laughed when you were querying about any clubs up here. Ha. are you going to sechelt specifically? what work? Last edited by scue; Mar 14, 07 at 09:49 PM.

You're set. The only places with less to do would be somewhere like Denman Island.

Get hit with a huge rock in the face! My friend did that in sechelt, it was pretty dope. Maybe you can find all the blood stains on the beach if you're lucky.

sechelt is awesome.... so nice there. bring a fishing rod and a bag of doobs and youll have a great time.
my favorite thing to do in sechelt is wait at earls cove for the powell river ferry. my favorite thing to do in powell river is eat lunch.... and then wait for the texada ferry. cant wait for the sunshine coast this year!

If you have a tuned up car you can take the trip to the Howe Sound Pulp & Paper mill.
The road is nice and has lots of twisties. Then check out all the clear cut patches which makes you sick to the stomach if you love trees.
