yeah i am...and i got offered a job but i NEED a reference from my old boss and im not to sure if he'll giveme one and am to afraid to call him

get a friend to pretend to be an old boss.

a boss can only give a good reference, if he has anything bad to say he will probably let you know that he does not want to be contacted by your future employer. like jade said, use a friend for a reference.

Use a teacher, or an adult (like a sports coach or something) as a reference. They always have the best things to say!

I have always used my softball coach and my old English teacher as references.

Try to use someone that has known you for a number of years, that way their opinion of you is more solid than someone who has known you for a short period of time.
