I love the Chinese characters, Nat.
I can't wait until I get mine. My Dad passed away when I was 15 and I was VERY close to him and so I'm getting the Japanese symbol for "father" on my lower back. He wasn't Japanese but he studied Buddhism for awhile and he always admired the beauty of the Japanese language and culture. I'd also like to get a red outline of a maple leaf, not filled in, either on my hip or ankle...somewhere easily hidden. I was also thinking of encasing the Japanese character in a red rose somehow, because my Dad _loved_ red roses and so did I. But I'm not sure about that yet, and I can always add that in later. |

i gotta star on ma wrist, and i reallllllly liked getting it, but it was on a whim, and i think i need to be supah sure of the next one, as i want it to be a big back piece, detaling all the crazy occurances in my head....now how would I draw that...? hmmm

Nat: That's really sweet and meaningful. Nice. =)
about the maple leaf. I'd say hip, just cause ankle, you might regret it when you wear heals and what not. My mother passed away when I was 15 too. I want to get something to remind me of her. But I dunno what. And I'm slowly runnin' outta places to do it. I know I also want to get my name in Chinese tattooed right under my left breast, like going around under it. And when I have nice arms, eventually, I'll start tattooing that area. |
