how much does a studio apartment downtown cost?

Reminder: the square footage of the place is essential when looking into a place. For example, you may end up paying over $1000 for a place that's only 600 sq. feet.

yeah i want to live in the west end, close to denman...i only need like 500-600sq ft...800 would be nicer.

you just have to shop around.. I have a friend who rents a NICE bachelor for $600 month.. and i have friends who rent a two bedroom for $1100 a month.. it doesn't all have to be expensive!!! (both of these are in a nice area of down town.. the first denman and the second davieish..)

but.. if you wanna go cheap.. there are always one bedrooms available on hastings and on richards.. very interesting views from both..

If you're not worried about being RIGHT downtown but at least close enough you should look in the Burnaby Heights area.
I'm less than 10 min from the DT core and I pay 925 for a brand new 2Br.

Like other people have been saying.... go early, shop around, and be careful!

Or you can save up or beg/borrow/steal the money for a 5% downpayment and own a place for the $850 you would be spending on rent.

and get this
theres a window right by the bathtub in each of those studios
not a window outside
but a window to the bedroom
and its not like blurry window or anything, its normal!!
and theres 9 closets in a studio apartment
and everything there is white
it fuckjing sickens me sometimes
and the paint we're using has suuucch strong fumes :(
