Each class is 2 and a half hours long except my studio operations class which is 4 hours. for each one of your classes you get a 2 and a half hour lab time in a designated room, either a mac lab or a studio to work on your projects.
The thing is that usually you need to come in for more time on your own just to finish the projects. for My second project in my digital audio production class we only had 1, 2 and a half hour lab time to work on it.....it took me almost 6 hours to finish it. Believe me you will spend much more time at school then the site says. Plus the more time you spend in the studio the more experience you get.....people in my classes are already pulling overnighters at the school. As for the audio program, you start with RAF regardless of which direction you will end up going. |

Oh I read u wrong the first time I thought u said that u DONT need RAF to take the eletronic musician program, so I thought i was correcting u =P
CDIS sounds like a bit of work but spending 8-9 hours a day in a recording studio doing stuff I wanna do is WAY more appealing than spending even 2 hours a day on shit like calculus and english... Im seriously considering enrolling. But u say its hard to get jobs after graduating with certain programs? |

I love the program, the courses are tons of fun, lots of hands on work. Music theory is a BITCH though, If you have never played an instrument before be ready to get a tutor.
As for jobs i really dont know at the moment. On teh tour they said that %80 of the grads get a job like 2 weeks after they graduate or somthing like that. Audio is a freelance world just like the film industry. Ive had teachers say that because the RAF class is so big this year there is way more compitition then previous years. Ive also had teachers tell us about all the possibilitys with audio.....pretty much every company need some sort of audio work done. Im going to find out more as the year progresses, im not going to come back for a second year if i wont be able to get a job after i graduate. |
