I hate to say it not no. Christmas had absolutly no religous meaning to me. I was raised to believe in God, but i have found myself to believe other wise. I just think of Christmas as a time of year were people are nice to each other. The famly gets together, and of coures exchanging gifts. Just tradition, more that anything.

no doubt! but i respect people who do believe, so no arguement here. does everyone remember the capton? the guy with the cheesy commercials late at nite for his pawn shops? he actually had a good saying on one of them, " If life is too hard and and lifes got you down and you just can't believe in the power of god just add an O and believe in the power of GOOD" haha it was sumting like dat, it was as corny as any of his Ads but its true....:) Last edited by cinist; Nov 02, 02 at 01:53 AM. |

I think it is very cool that Christmas started out as a pagan celtic thing, and the church decided to make it accessible to Christians as well. There is a lot of debate over when Christ was actually born...but who cares? Those who celebrate can celebrate it whenever they want to, and I guess at the time, they decided on Dec. 25, so that Christian and pagan alike had a reason to celebrate. I love the mystery that surrounds it all. It is a beautiful holiday.
