its over rated but at the same time its fun so its not that arg frustrating, anything that can bring families together and spread joys of giving to so many cant be that bad, no matter how commercialized and over done it is.

I think it's only over rated if you think it is. The fact that Santa seems to be the focus totally defeats the purpose of the holiday. I love Christmas. My family doesn't place emphasis on buying gifts, so that takes away a lot of the pressure. It is a beautiful holiday. When I see candle light, and hear those beautiful celtic carols, I just love life. And the fact that I don't have to worry about school makes getting cozy with family and friends that much more fun. It is such a romantic time of year too! Hot tubbing under the stars on a cold winter night with my hunny...can't wait! Christmas is the season of love people. Love!
