Thanx from Surrey's newest venue (Vinyl Messiah)
Thumbs up to everyone who helped throw the Surrey party at Vinyl Messiah on King George.....although half of our Dj's were no show....
Our dedication to this new venue will see the doors stay open until 6 A.M.......More Dj's are needed....Three rooms to play in.... We will also be practicing at the site through out the week....so if anyone is interested in preparing their sets for Friday, call to find out what time to show up at....have some drink, smoke and turn it loud... Our head count total for the night was 67 people (not including club personel)....
The bulk of the people stayed until 3 A.M. .... For the first night with only one week of promotion, I would say it is a great start for this new Surrey venue. We need die hard fans of late night partying to show their support by bringing vinyl(or not) and to stay as long as possible.... Free beer all night long with finacial prospects....(djs) Call today for more info...

Yeah, sounds kinda like what Montreal has with their afterhours. Every single week, Friday & Saturday, until noon...at least at three different venues. It's insane!! Hope it works out for you guys. :) Vancouver definitely needs something like this...

WTF, Snackers, aka the Java Joint, is not a new venue, there has been many events there, MANY. Crazy Dave (Morning Glory) used to do a thing there on Thursdays, there used to be (maybe still are) lots of punk shows that went off there. So DON'T SAY IT'S A NEW VENUE WHEN IT'S NOT!!

I have exciting news for everyone....The Surrey venue is getting a face lift.....
There should be 6 rooms running strong within 3-6 weeks from now..... 2 floors....6 rooms......LIFE is getting better...... So, by saying that we are in need of dedicated partiers that have vinyl with at least 6 mos. under there belt of playing time that want to be part of this new exciting place..... I say it's new because it has been reconditioned....new paint....carpet...new managment...new ideas.....new focus....... We will have some crazy talent spinning there soon so keep your ear to the ground..... Peace out.

Yay, finally a good reason for living in surrey. No more hour long treks on public transit to hear some good music.
And stabby's right, The java joint/snackers is sure as hell NOT a new venue. There's been punk shows (and yes, I think they still happen there just not as much) there for YEARS and many other events i'm sure.

Is there a Hard House Room cause not only i would attend bu i would interested in maybe droppin some vinyls there.
