How much $ would I need for a trip to Vancouver?
I've wanted to go see Canada for a while but I need to save up some $ first.
I'm wondering how much money I would need beside the ticket there to stay in Vancouver for at least 2 weeks to a month. I know that's probably sounds like a long time but I need a change for a while after being in California and Florida almost my whole life. It's still fucking hot outside right now.

Probably what would put a hole in my pocket the most in party funds and stuff like that but I'm not sure :smoke1:

How much is it for a night in a reasonably priced hotel? Or is it easier to try and rent a room for a month?
I read that the average meal cost is is $10-25 Can. - Ouch!

I was reading some stuff about going to Canada on www.cic.gc.ca and it says for a trip you might have to show "proof of such funds". But it didn't say what the minimum amount is or how you show proof.

Anyways, let me know how much $ you think I need or i you have any advice/suggestions.

trainhop/hitchhike over here
crash at random houses every nite, there's enough single guys in this city to take advantage of for meals for a good year or 2...
get a job at a temp agency (there's some that pay on a daily basis)

vancouver is interesting...sure the party scene isn't all that great, but it's a beautiful city.
