i'm in the Image Arts: Photography programme at Ryerson University in Toronto. It's a 4 year degree granting programme...you get a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography degree...every other school (which the exception of Emily Carr in Vancouver) gives out, at the most, diplomas when it comes to specialized programs...ie. film, new media, photography. Ryerson is one of the top photography schools in North America...first being Art Institute of Pasadena probably...or Parsons in new york. it's tough to get into though...your application consists of your portfolio, an essay, an essay on your background, and a photo essay. i think around 3000 applied for enterance this year and only 50 got in to photography. if you're into photography though, deffinatly apply here. i had only been doing photography for 4 years when i applied and my portfolio consisted primarily of sketches, inkwork and design sketches. they don't necessarily look for photography...i presume they look for evidence of talent or some shit of that sort. www.imagearts.ryerson.ca

jonesie: thanks. you don't want to get your hands on a cambo...they're huge...awkward, and heavy as fuck. i hate them. i want to throw mine out the window. and i had to buy a fucking 400 dollar hand held sekonic light meter just to use the fucking cambos. not to mention all my other supplies. and my Design class? holy fucking shit...i spend like 40 bucks on each project...we have a project every week. it adds up. university is expensive. someone give me moneyand i'll give you head in return...maybe.

wow sammy those pics are sOOOOOOOOOOOO good...you've got some amazing talent man....i love the double shot, and the street, and the one of the guy that's blurred but he's in focus
In my class right now we are just learning how to do that so yeah....hopefully i can do some of that crazy stuff soon! NICE WORK!
