fucking firefox (help!)

so firefox decided to do some sort of retarded updating bs that i never gave it the OK to do.
and as a result i've lost all my bookmark tabs and my entire list of bookmarks. i have looked and looked all over to try and get them back, anyone know how the fuck i can find these or am i SOL?

find a file called bookmarks.html. That's your mozilla bookmarks file. Usually when you install a new version sometimes it creates a new user profile for you. If this is the case...you old bookmarks.html should exists on your harddrive. Use windows find thinger to find it. It's in Documents&Settings.

Happened to me as well.

Gotta start saving/exporting your bookmarks to a safe folder on your computer somewhere (I save mine once a month). Then if it updates and you loose your bookmarks again, you can just import them back.

I use Foxmarks to sync my bookmarks between home & work. Highly recommend it.

You should at least find one bookmarks.html file on your computer. Your new install should have one.

This has happened to me...twice!

Once was because my sister was flipping all the breaker switches on and off trying to find the one for her computer room, but she flicked the one for my room instead, instantly shutting down my comp (and messing it up a little in the process).

I feel your pain. I never knew of this bookmarks.html thing, so I'm going to try and find that when I get home.
