This could be so much fun... I want to build one just because I can.

That and it's a Jet Engine. Really, who wouldn't want a Jet Engine?

heh my friend has done this already..... hooked a prop to it to I am sure if he got his own plane kit and such it would be able to power it not a problem...

He's also built a few pulsejets to....

Hooked it to a Prop? So be built a Turboprop then? What'd he use for the reduction Gear?

This is so tempting. I dunno what I'd do with it other than fire it up in the Parking Lot.

dunno he picked up some part from prince auto in langley....
There is some other guy out that has a video on youtube that did the same thing...

lol @ The Leaf Blower... I've operated the Air Start units for A-310's and stuff before. It's kinda funny to see it on small scale.

Turbine Compression jet engines are very very finicky beasts. A far safer idea would be to build a pulse jet. Well, safer isn't the right word there... hrm... An idea far less likely to result in vaporized mapleleaf4ever would be a pulse jet. Unless you used the pulse jet to power a vaporizer. In which case, pass the cookies.

Innnterestink... I'd much rather build an actual Turbine as they're the ones I'm more familiar with. That and I'll be starting my Aircraft Maintenance Course in September so the expertise I'll gain there should ensure a relatively safe assembly and running.
