are you running a filter to get the star effects on the lighting?

he's probably using a uv protective filter which is what anyone should get. But there is no special filters that causes it to give a "star" effect.

well I have a uv filter for my camera and took a few night shots and it gives off the star effect. No other filters on it.
So I guess a uv filter would do the trick. Keep in mind there are filters for celestial objects such as stars and planets.
