Are you flying everywhere? If not you may be moving too fast.

Keep in mind that even if you're flying a short flight it may take the majority of the day to wake up, check out, cab to the airport 2 hours early, fly, get luggage, cab to new city, get lost, check in new hotel.
So that means that 3 days in a country can easily turn into 2

You're allowed to bring home up to $750 or $800 (I forget) Canadian in souvaneers and gits. After that you pay duty

why not?...have you been there? or heard anything?. i felt the same way about columbia. but i kept hearing really really good things about it and when i went it turned out to be really fantastic!...as agro dave pointed out...you "just have to keep your wits about you"

anyways...looks like mr. ektion has his destination sorted out. have fun. but for a first time out in a completely different culture i would have to recomend southeast asia esp thailand.

cheap cheap cheap and wonderful street food.
amazing beach huts you can live in for 3 cnd a nite
10 dollar "deisl" jeans
sunburns
great clubs
ko samui
buckets
bhuddism
chaing mai
surfing
and then some more beer chang.

....i cant stress enough just how much you can do for such little money in southeast asia and how beautiful the north and south of thailand is...

just keep out of bangkok and pattaya!!lols.
