i was wanted to get some english words translated into japanese symbols. anyone wana take a crack at it? here are the words...

Honor

Honour: 名誉

Looked it up on google translator, cross-checked with my English/Japanese dictionary. There's more than one way to do some of these words depending on the implication.

they're not "symbols" they're kanji characters
also, don't forget hiragana and katakana

That tatoo seems like a good idea when you are 19, but when you turn older (see 21) your going to feel like a douche. As well as look like a douche. Have you seen that our lady peace video where they have all the kanji symbols flying around, it looks like shit.

I've been studying Japanese for about 7 months (with the Heisig method) and can write about 750 Kanjis.

Anyone else on here trying to learn Japanese? How are you guys progressing?

It's hard work and I feel like I'm not getting anywhere...

Erm, when did you move to Japan? Can you read the kanjis, like, can you read a Japanese newspaper? How long did it take you to get into it? How did you practice? Fill me in!
