^ is it? K1 guys train for K1 rules. MMA guys tailor their standup training for MMA rules. Just cause some boxers doesn't do well in K1 doesn't mean Mayweather wouldn't train for an MMA fight.

Don't get me wrong, i think he would get owned by sherk, but the only thing that proves is that more experienced kickboxers would win against pure boxers in a kickboxing match.

I'd pretty much expect any MMA guy to get owned by mayweather in a straight boxing match.

yes it was K1, but the primary thing on display there was leg kicks, and changing levels drastically, which a boxer is not familiar with. Plus he could never close distance.

I could see GSP doing this.

For all the hype about their superior boxing technique they were never able to use it. Planting your lead leg is not ideal for fighting.

^ well yea, but i don't see anyone on here arguing that any boxer could beat an mma guy in mma rules. I think the only one proclaiming that mayweather could beat most MMA guys are the crusty old boxing purists who are desperately clutching to the former glory of boxing.

I just found it kinda funny that you're calling on MMA guys and mentioning UFC and then you post like 4 fights that are all K1 kickboxing matches. You would have been better off posting Royce Gracie vs. Art Jimmerman from UFC 1.
