Cop vs Skateboarders
This really makes me ill. I'm glad that i'm amongst the peaceful police here in Van. You can say what you want but you guys have it great with the police force here.
article: A dispicable act of police brutality was committed on Go Skateboarding Day by the Hot Springs, Arkansas Police Department. Video of the incident is below. (in a nutshell, a grown man chokes out a 13 year old kid and lifts another 13 year old girl off the ground in a headlock) After you watch it, we ask ALL of you to flood their phonelines and email address (below) with complaints regarding the main policeman involved, Officer Joey Williams. You should also contact your local news organizations to help spread the word. The more attention this officer gets, the better for us. Hot Springs Arkansas Police Department Phone: (501) 321-6789 Fax: (501) 321-6708 Chief of Police, Bobby Southard Email: [email protected] 641 Malvern Avenue Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901 here is the vid YouTube - go skateboarding day: cop v.s. skaters WILL YOU PLEASE REPOST THIS AS A BULLITEN ON YOUR MYSPACE AND SPREAD THE WORD TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.? |

im not even a fan of skateboarding (personaly, doesn't mean i don't think kids shouldn't do it, have fun :P), and I'm usually defending law enforcment, but this officer is off his rocker! WTF! Way over the line on this one! This is an officer who needs to be delt with asap! |

pretty much summed up what i was going to say.. the kids started the video from halfway through.. so they obviously did somthing to provoke the cops that they aren't showing.. it's how they make themselves look like victims.. granted the way the cops threw the kids around like that that weren't running wasn't really what i'd call appropriate conduct and he definately needs some more training in how to handle that kind of a situation

who knows what happened before the video to make the cop go madd like that, but regardless of the situation there is no need to sit down literally on top of someone who is laying on the ground and choking someone.
didn't he even say he had mace on him? then if he felt like he was in danger why didn't he just mace the kid on the ground, roll him over and arrest him instead of choking the kid? |
