MSN Messenger!!!???

So i hardly use MSN messenger, and i have only a few people on my list but it seems everytime i log into this shit NOBODY is online.
Which is hard to believe.

Well Windows Messenger does suck, but you said MSN. To note, they are both different from Live Messenger. yes, I know I'm being pedantic.

I think Jabber should win. Screw these proprietary systems and their over-bloated features and crap.

i hate to jump in here.. but file transfer?? MSN??? Sure it can do it but.. thats not what its meant for. Its meant purely to keep in contact with people, and to enable them to talk to people easily and quickly. No more.

Well it's the natural upgrade...MSN Messenger 7.x upgrades to Windows Live Messenger at 8.x.

aaand then MSN is all over the world, minus Yahoo & QQ over in China which even things out I believe there.

Yahoo is big throughout at least parts of Europe I think [a lot in the East, from what I know.]

i have never had a problem personally, and i use windows messanger live(everyone says sucks).

i only had trouble with one person and i assume it was there computer at home, cause when they were at work, i always saw them online
